Alesha has eight years of experience as an elementary teacher and RTI Literacy Specialist and is trained in evidence-based literacy instruction. Her professional training and certifications include:
- Arizona Literacy Endorsement via Arizona Department of Education
- EBLI (Evidence Based Literacy Instruction) Certified
- Trained in LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) by Lexia Learning
- SEI (Structured English Immersion) Endorsement
- Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona
- Ongoing professional development through national literacy conferences including Plain Talk About Literacy & Learning
